Guard Tour Patrols

The software comes with functions and tools specific to guarding services. The software allows two types of job scheduling: the so called service order and programmed guard tour. The service order is a special type of job scheduler which allows the fractioning of each working day in one or more time slots with the additional ability to indicate the number of readings expected for each tag belonging to the given service order. Tags included in the service order may belong to different customers. After having assigned the tags to the service order you need to setup a valid schedule (daily or weekly) and select the type of service required. The software allows you also to control the time gap between two back-to-back readings of same tag. Instead a programmed guard tour is constituted by a series of tags to be read once or more during the day. Each programmed guard tour is always identified by its start tag, maximum duration and related grace time. Some programming options are available among which the possibility to control the sequence of the tags and the time gap between them. A tour done with on-line devices can be monitored in real time through RTS Monitor. The service order and programmed tour reports allow to compare the expected results with personnel performance during a specific period of time.

Time and Attendance

The software comes with functions and tools specific to staff attendance management. The software allows two job scheduling modes for each employee: basic and advanced. Using the basic mode you can configure the daily total hours expected at each customer’s site. With advanced mode you can configure the employee’s exact clock in/out time expected at each customer’s site. Grace time options and rounding rules are available for both the programming modes. Daily, weekly and monthly job calendars definition are supported as well. The staff attendance reports allows you to compare the expected results with the real clock-in and clock-out. The reports also provide the calculation of the total hours worked during a specific period of time.

Suite Web

Suite WEB is a web based software solution for the centralized management/configuration of Datix Devices.

Server licences are required
Product code: SW SW1 – License: Single, 1 Server, 1 DB – Customers/Sites: 1
Product code: SW SW10 – License: Single, 1 Server, 1 DB – Customers/Sites: 10

Why use Suite Web?

More efficient – Thanks to the “Network” the users of Suite WEB can access the data via a web browser virtually from anywhere, including mobile PCs and tablets. The centralized architecture makes every user free to manage the system with full mobility by eliminating almost completely all support issues typical of desktop installations. With Suite WEB the code of the application is installed on the server and each user accesses the system through a web browser over the network.
More secure – The centralization of data results with increased security and less recovery time in the event of failure. Each update is immediately available to all users. Even the backup tasks are more efficient allowing the necessary redundancy to minimize the possibility of data loss in case of viruses or intrusions.
Cost effective – The web version of Suite allows you to minimize investment and reduce operating costs. The user’s ability to perform their work through the web browser allows you to use in various locations “common” machines without any special requirements in terms of performance and cost.

Datix2Cloud (SaaS)

The system is provided on a virtual infrastructure providing a flexible and robust system with no maintenance or hardware costs.

Provided in SaaS (Software as a Service) mode and designed for the reception, processing, saving and consultation of data and status signals transmitted by Datix brand hardware devices equipped with TCP/IP network connectivity (e.g. GPRS, Wi-Fi …). It does not include the supply of a SIM card or data traffic for which the equipment users remain responsible. The service is provided in SaaS mode when you buy, top-up or use service credits. The credits used over a given period of time depend on the quantity of the resources used.

You only require Service Credits
Product code: D2C-100 – Service credits: 100
Product code: D2C-1000 – Service credits: 1000
Product code: D2C-5000 – Service credits: 5000

The benefits of Datix2Cloud

Scalability: you can increase or decrease the resources used following workload peaks therefore reducing time and costs.
Reliability: infrastructure back-up, high security standards and data held at a leading data centre.
Real time and easy use: rapid provisioning and intuitive functionality at just a click away.
Pay per use: you only pay for the resources you use. There are no monthly charges and no time restrictions.
No investments needed in computers, networks or software licenses: no outlays for investments in dedicated PCs or servers, no outlays for investments in operating system licenses and no outlays for investments in network infrastructure (no public IP addresses, no firewalls and no dedicated routers). You can access the cloud platform via the browser of your device which is already being used and is already connected to the internet.

How Datix2Cloud works

The Datix2Cloud platform consists essentially of 3 components:

1. The system for the reception and processing of data transmitted by Datix brand hardware devices.
2. Datix2Cloud.Portal (the management portal)
3. Datix2Cloud.App (the web application)

Once the contract for the supply of the service has been subscribed, Customers receive an ID code that identifies them unequivocally and will accompany them throughout the whole period in which they use the service. In addition to ID code, Customers are also allocated a username and a password for access to the portal and web application.

Datix2Cloud.Portal – The portal allows customers to check the resources being used, activate new service credits and check the credits left and those used in the past. The portal tells you the estimated date when the credits will run out on the basis of the average resources used in the last period. Finally, the portal has specific functions for requests for technical assistance (e.g. web ticket).
Datix2Cloud.App – This is the real application with all the functionalities required for guard control, attendance management and GPS tracking.

Resources for which a charge is made –

The resources for which a charge is made and which therefore form part of the calculation of the credits spent over a specific period of time are:

Devices (fixed and portable terminals),
RFID tags,
Web users.
(Web user means any user having access to Datix2Cloud.App.)

RTS

RTS is the core of the interaction between the data centre and Datix remote units. The platform receives, processes and forwards any incoming information transmitted by Datix remote equipment such as tags, GPS positions and alerts (e.g. Man Down, SOS).

Being a multi-channel solution RTS is able to support any kind of transmission through-
GSM
SMS
GPRS
TCP-IP
RTS also allows fully featured 2-way GPRS connections with on-line units
(e.g.: Datix Wi-Trak Pro and Datix NaNo G).

Product codes and licensing
The installation and use of RTS platform requires a license for each PC/Server operating RTS SE.

RTS Configurators, RTS Analyzer and RTS Monitor do not require any license and may be installed in multiple locations.

Main Features

Being a .NET solution, RTS operates on both 32-bit and 64-bit computers. The platform is fully scalable and its components allow the system to match the expectations of any kind of user and application. RTS is able to meet the demands of both end-users and system integrators who are looking for a flexible and easy hardware integration via direct access to the database or data exporting. According to the license purchased the platform may include the desktop version of RTS Monitor. This console lets you monitor in real time remote units, incoming alerts and scheduled tasks.

The components of RTS

RTS Local Configurators
RTS SE
RTS Analyser
RTS Monitor

RTS Local Configurators

Local Downloaders are desktop applications useful to configure and manage Datix devices through USB/RS232/TCP-IP and GSM. These applications allow also downloading locally any Datix device and then either save the data to a MySQL database or send them remotely to RTS SE via a properly configured TCP/IP connection.

RTS SE
RTS SE is a software able to supervise the interaction between the control room and remote units. RTS SE receives, processes and forwards any incoming information transmitted by Datix remote equipment (GSM/GPRS/SMS/TCP-IP).

RTS Analyser
RTS Analyzer is a tool to handle the data collected. The data can be sent to a database and/or exported to one or more fully configurable text files.

RTS Monitor
RTS Monitor is a software application to view and monitor in real time the data collected by any Datix unit provided with GSM/GPRS capabilities. The application is able to display in real time the status of the devices, the progress of the services scheduled and the reception of the alarms transmitted by remote units. The user interface signals through visual and acoustic alerts any detected anomaly by assuring the monitoring centre just-in-time actions targeted to solve a problem and to allow its future prevention.

RTS Monitor on the Web
This is the web edition of RTS Monitor and it is one of the most valuable components of Suite WEB.
In addition to providing real time information either on the connection status of Datix remote units or the progress of the ongoing planned activities (e.g.: programmed tours) RTS Monitor signals through acoustic and visual alerts the reception of any alarms transmitted by Datix peripherals provided with GSM/GPRS live connection capabilities. Depending on the Datix peripheral in use, the RTS Monitor may display the following alerts:
panic (SOS)
loss of verticality (man-down)
no-movement
low battery
device on/off
Furthermore, in case of GPS enabled peripherals the console is also able to display their GPS position on the map.
